Volodymyr Kostiuk, CEO of Farmak, has been included in the “Top Executives: Ranking of Ukraine’s Top Managers 2026” compiled by Focus, a leading Ukrainian business media outlet.
The ranking features 36 executives of Ukrainian companies who, amid the full-scale war, are driving business growth, supporting the country’s economy and implementing strategic changes.
Other representatives of the pharmaceutical sector included in the ranking are Taras Koliada, Executive Director of the Podorozhnyk pharmacy chain, and Kostyantyn Mordyk, CEO of the 9-1-1 pharmacy chain.
Ukrainian businesses continue to operate amid the full-scale war. Key challenges include the destruction of companies’ physical assets by Russian forces, staff shortages caused by mobilization and migration, damage to energy infrastructure, rising production costs and increasingly complex logistics.
Against this backdrop, the quality of management decisions is becoming increasingly important. Company leaders play a critical role in ensuring financial resilience, retaining teams, securing financing, enabling rapid recovery, maintaining production and implementing new technologies.
Volodymyr Kostiuk has led Farmak since 2018. Under his leadership, Farmak has strengthened its position as a market leader in Ukraine, expanded its international presence and now exports its products to more than 60 countries worldwide.
Farmak continues to invest in Ukraine. The company’s total capital investments amounted to UAH 3.6 billion between 2022 and 2025. During the same period, Farmak paid UAH 4.7 billion in taxes.
Today, Farmak employs 3,000 people in Ukraine. In 2025, the company launched 13 new medicines for the treatment of stroke and traumatic brain injuries, schizophrenia, sedation and gastroenterological diseases, as well as for women’s health. The company also introduced dietary supplements designed to support balanced nutrition, reproductive health and hormonal balance.
