Farmak is developing its own educational platform as part of the Farmak Educational and Practical School project and organizes training for physicians every year, focusing on a specific medical specialty each time. This year’s key topic was “Musculoskeletal Radiology.”
The 4th annual school took place on June 26–27 and brought together 125 radiologists from across Ukraine. Over the course of two days, participants exchanged experience, explored new practices, and discussed complex clinical cases.
A significant part of the program focused on the specifics of diagnostics in wartime conditions. In particular, the lecturers covered the use of computed tomography (CT) in combat-related skeletal injuries, the specifics of diagnosing surgical sepsis, as well as the potential of PET/CT (positron emission tomography/computed tomography) for patients with fever following injuries or prosthetic procedures.
The speakers paid particular attention to a multidisciplinary approach — the synergy between radiologists and surgeons when planning complex surgeries to remove musculoskeletal tumors.

The practical part of the event included a hands-on workshop on ultrasound examination of limbs after amputation, which is essential for subsequent high-quality prosthetic fitting and reducing pain in patients.
The two-day intensive has come to an end, but cooperation and knowledge sharing within the radiology community continue. Next year, the Farmak Educational and Practical School will return with another relevant topic, continuing to support Ukrainian healthcare professionals in their professional development.
